Oh beer. Wonderful and delicious nectar of the gods. The cause of, and solution to, all of life’s problems.

Vancouver Craft Beer Week is coming up May 10-16 with a bevy of breweries and venues to entice your tastebuds and make you utterly shit-faced.

The annual Dine Out Vancouver this year is starting April 26, 2010 and ends May 6, 2010. If memory serves me correctly this is a bit later in the year then the previous ones, probably blame that on the Olympics :-p.

Price have also been bumped up….$3, they are $18, $28, and $38. (Begs the question for next year’s Dine Out will the prices go down again due to HST??? The rationale for HST is it will save businesses money and therefore they will pass it down to the consumer. We will see!)

None the less a good way to sample a restaurant!

True Confections is a busy cozy cafe style dessert place that provides a variety of cake desserts, and yes they have 3 types of milk to choose to drink, if you are like me who likes to have milk with there dessert :-) , but they also provide the usual assortment of teas and alcoholic beverages in case you need to warm up or need a little liquid courage to ask out the cutie from the next table ;-p.

In summary True Confections is a great place for a small group of people together and chat over some great dessert.
